VIT 322 - Upholstery Flammability Test Rig

Application
Upholstery Flammability Test Rig, to determine the ignition resistance properties of material combinations for upholstered seating. The test rigs are covered with the standard foam and the fabric under test. The assembly is then ignited using one of the standard ignition sources and the combustion process is monitored.

Test Specification

Taking the standard BS5852 as an example, the furniture fire resistance tester is used to determine the flammability of the composite material (such as the cover and filling material of the soft seat) when it is burned with a cigarette or match or an equivalent fire source.

Working Principle

The soft composition and overall upholstered furniture subjected to the standard source in the test device is ignited, combustion signs of internal or surface observation in order to assess the flammability of the sample.

Instrument Structure

Fire-proof test stands include stainless steel igniter tubes, stainless steel test templates, and two different sizes of the test frame. Test frame: a rectangular frame consisting of two hinges. And it can be locked in the appropriate position. The frame can be inserted with a hinge rod hole, the band gap of separate plug or bolt when in a proper position, do not move between the vertical and horizontal components of the bare test frame.

Functional Characteristics

1 The instrument is a reticulated seat structure with good heat resistance.

2 can fully meet the test requirements of a different point.

3 All the components of the test stand are made of metal and are durable.

4 The flame height and gas flow velocity can be adjusted freely to meet more standard test requirements.

Operating Step

Install the instrument, adjust the temperature, humidity, air pressure of the test environment according to the test requirements, and ensure that there is no strong vibration, strong electromagnetic field, and other external interference.

Install the butane gas supply device, adjust the flame height according to test standard, and carry out the flammability test.

The rolling tongue should include but not limited to the following report: Indicates that the test is carried out by the standard and all the groups and anomalies deviating from the standard. Sample volume description, the atmospheric conditions used, test area volume description, test date.
